Design Philosophy
At Estelon, loudspeakers are designed to work in harmony with the listening environment.
The XC Mk II is engineered to integrate naturally into a wide variety of spaces, delivering a stable and coherent soundstage with accurate imaging and tonal balance.
Through carefully controlled dispersion and optimised cabinet geometry, the XC Mk II creates a listening experience that feels engaging and immersive without overwhelming the room.
Cabinet Technology
The cabinet of the XC Mk II is crafted from Estelon’s proprietary marble-based composite material using advanced moulding technology.
Its curved structure eliminates parallel walls, reducing internal reflections and standing waves.
Internal bracing and acoustically optimised chambers provide rigidity and resonance control, allowing the drivers to operate freely and accurately.
This construction supports clean transients, tonal neutrality, and long-term structural stability.
Driver System
The XC Mk II features a precisely matched driver system developed in cooperation with Accuton:
- 2 × 173 mm ceramic membrane mid-woofers – delivering natural midrange, controlled bass, and coherent tonal balance
- 25 mm CELL ceramic inverted-dome tweeter – providing smooth high-frequency reproduction and detailed clarity
Together, these drivers deliver a balanced and expressive presentation suited to both music listening and multi-channel systems.
Driver Positioning and Dispersion Control
Drivers are positioned to ensure coherent sound radiation and stable stereo imaging.
The cabinet’s softly curved front surface reduces diffraction and promotes even dispersion across the listening area.
This results in a wide, stable soundstage with consistent tonal balance and precise localisation.
Crossover Design
The XC Mk II employs a carefully engineered crossover network designed to ensure seamless integration between drivers.
High-quality components are selected for their transparency and reliability, preserving phase accuracy and natural timing throughout the frequency range.
