The X Centro Diamond Mk II is designed to integrate naturally into a wide variety of rooms, delivering a coherent and emotionally engaging listening experience whether used as part of a music system or a high-performance home theatre.
By carefully controlling driver placement, cabinet geometry, and dispersion behaviour, the speaker ensures precise imaging, tonal balance, and stability across the listening area.
Cabinet Technology
The cabinet of the X Centro Diamond Mk II is crafted from Estelon’s proprietary marble-based composite material using advanced moulding technology.
Its curved form eliminates parallel surfaces, reducing internal reflections and standing waves.
Internal bracing and acoustically optimised chambers provide a rigid, resonance-controlled environment for each driver.
This construction allows the drivers to perform with maximum precision, clarity, and dynamic freedom, without adding coloration to the sound.
Driver System
The X Centro Diamond Mk II features a carefully matched driver system developed in collaboration with Accuton:
- 2 × 173 mm ceramic membrane mid-woofers – delivering clean, articulate midrange and controlled bass
- 25 mm diamond inverted-dome tweeter – providing extraordinary detail, speed, and high-frequency extension
The diamond tweeter extends the frequency response to 60 kHz, improving transient accuracy, spatial resolution, and the natural sense of air and openness in the soundstage.
Each driver is housed in an optimised enclosure, ensuring minimal interference and maximum performance.
Driver Positioning and Dispersion Control
Drivers are positioned to ensure coherent sound radiation and stable imaging across the listening area.
The cabinet’s curved front and carefully calculated geometry reduce diffraction and ensure even dispersion.
The result is a wide, immersive soundstage with consistent tonal balance and precise localisation of instruments and voices.
Crossover Design
The X Centro Diamond Mk II uses a precision crossover network designed to preserve signal integrity and driver coherence.
The crossover components are selected for their sonic transparency and reliability, ensuring smooth transitions between drivers and maintaining phase accuracy across the frequency range.
