This year, Estelon returned to AXPONA in Schaumburg, Chicago, one of the most important high end audio exhibitions in North America. In collaboration with Scott Walker Audio, Vitus Audio, and Crystal Cable, we presented a reference level system built around the Estelon Extreme Mk II.
The Extreme Mk II remains the flagship of the Estelon range, designed without compromise. Its four way architecture, advanced driver integration, and adjustable upper module allow precise alignment in real world environments, while maintaining the sculptural form that defines Estelon design.
The system was carefully assembled with a clear focus on synergy. Electronics from Vitus Audio, cabling from Crystal Cable, and expert setup by Scott Walker Audio created a coherent and balanced presentation.
The result was widely recognised by both visitors and press.
HiFi PiG noted:
“Always a fantastic sounding room, the Estelon Extreme Mk II speakers easily filling the space with detailed, clear, and controlled sound. The combo between Vitus Audio electronics and Estelon speakers was one that simply worked, and it was a pleasure to listen to this system.”
In its coverage, The Absolute Sound highlighted a clear evolution in performance. Jonathan Valin observed that the system delivered “a more liquid, continuous, and lifelike presentation” than in previous years, with improved tonal balance and musical flow across a wide range of recordings.
Andrew Quint, also writing for The Absolute Sound, selected the room as one of his Best of Show, emphasising the importance of system refinement and long term consistency. The presentation was described as achieving a “relaxed musicality,” where the focus shifted away from technical analysis and towards a natural, engaging listening experience.
A key element behind this year’s result was continuity. The system has been developed and refined over multiple editions of the show, with careful attention to setup, component matching, and room interaction.
