The evening starts off with an aperitif and networking with the creator of Estelon speakers – Alfred Vassilkov. Erkki-Sven Tüür, the lauded Estonian composer, will join the evening as guest of honor. Some of his pieces will be played at a recital before the dinner along with other composers and various styles from Estelon speakers. The recital is followed by a delightful 3-course dinner at Alexander Restaurant composed for the occasion by Chef de Cuisine Stefan Berwanger.
The evening will be co-hosted by the hoteliers & restaurateurs Martin Breuer and Imre Sooäär.

Alfred Vassilkov – Estelon
As music filled the family home, young Alfred was not only fascinated by the beautiful melodies, but also the question where the sound was coming from. Building his first loudspeakers as a schoolboy, the young man realised very early on that speakers are bridges. They unite music and technology, helping live sounds to be reborn naturally through innovation.
For close to 30 years Alfred and his family have been expanding the technological boundaries of experiencing sounds with limitless passion. Each speaker is a handcrafted masterpiece – an instrument which achieves perfection. Not one detail is left to chance, but carefully chosen from the finest, to fulfil its entrusted responsibilities. Not one component is put in place unless it has passed a finely tuned laboratory testing. Not a single loudspeaker leaves the Estelon without the final judgement from its chief evaluator – the human ear.
Erkki-Sven Tüür
In his early career, Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür straddled the line between conservatory-based classical music studies and pop music. Tüür studied flute, music composition, and percussion instruments while attending Tallinn Conservatory, and from 1979 he led a rock group called In Spe, which incorporated elements of Renaissance and Baroque music. Along the way, Tüür also composed music for theatrical productions and took some electronic music courses in Darmstadt.
Tüür’s music has been performed by Isabelle van Keulen, Anu Tali, Tönu Kaljuste, David Geringas, Evelyn Glennie, Paavo Järvi, and the California EAR Unit; and has been recorded to a significant extent, particularly on the ECM label. The recording of his Piano Concerto and Symphony No. 7 was nominated for Gramophone magazine’s 2014 awards.
Tüür is a co-director of the International Contemporary Music Festival NYYD held in Tallinn, and has been honored several times by organizations for his contributions to Estonian culture.
