Yesterday, at the press conference in New York, Consumer Electronics Association announced the winners of the honorary innovation award. Alfred & Partners’ newly launched Estelon Extreme has been selected as 2015 CES Best of Innovation Awards Honoree in the High Performance Home Audio/Video product category.
Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade media honoring outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics.
Winner of the “Best of Innovation” award – Estelon Extreme – is the next step in speaker design evolution. It’s monumental sculpture like design, standing up to 2 meters high, is capable of reproducing the highest quality soundscapes while the speaker itself completely disappears as the source of the sound. Therefore, replacing their presence with that of the venue in which the original recording was made.
Besides the use of a crushed marble based composite and already recognized Estelon shape, the most noticeable innovation is the speaker’s two modules. On the Estelon Extreme, user can remotely change the height of the upper module and get rid of unwanted reflections from the walls and ceiling that affect the sound quality. Simply said – floorstanding speaker positioning in the room has now become 3D. It is the first speaker on the market that provides a solution to one of the biggest obstacles every listener faces – room acoustics.

Today, Estelon is regarded as a leading innovator in the high-end speaker industry, having received multiple awards for its designs and technological innovations. Previously, Estelon has been awarded with CES Innovation Award in 2011 for model “XA” right after Estelon was launched, followed by another Innovation Award in 2012 for its second model “X Diamond”. This year’s “Best of Innovation” award however, is the most important, which kindly states that Estelon Extreme speakers represent the most impressive technology on the market. In the past, Best of Innovation has been awarded to products such as Bang and Olufsen’s BeoLab 18 and BeoPlay A9, Devialet D-premier amplifier and Magico Q5 loudspeakers.
The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®. The International CES is the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. Entries are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace and unique/novel features present.
Estelon Extreme will be displayed at the 2015 International CES, which runs Jan. 6th-9th 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
